　出生於 1941 年紐約市布魯克林的 Harry Nilsson 哈瑞尼爾森一直被認為是位才華洋溢的歌手，他和披頭四合唱團的四位成員均為好友，彼此惺惺相惜，互為歌迷。
　尼爾森的唱腔獨樹一幟，處世卻極為低調，不喜歡製造新聞，也極少在公共場合中出現。1973 年以後，他像一位隱士般從事創作，悄悄從幕前淡出。
　1971 年，尼爾森在某個派對中和朋友打牌，聽到了" Without you 失去妳 "這首歌，當時他以為是披頭四的新作，一問之下，才知道是英國搖滾團體 Badfinger 壞手指合唱團的作品。
　不過，壞手指合唱團和披頭四還真有些淵源，他們是披頭四自己成立的蘋果唱片公司所簽約的樂團，" Without you "是該團 1970 年發行的第二張專輯裡頭收錄的歌曲。主唱 Peter Ham 原本寫了一首名為" Is this love ? "的歌，但他對副歌一直不太滿意，吉他手 Tom Evans 則寫好一段旋律，想出" I cant' live if living is without you "這句歌詞後便無以為繼，於是二人便把兩首歌合併，成為" Without you "這首歌。
　平心而論，Badfinger 演唱的" Without you "聽來只是一首普通的失戀情歌，甚至稱不上好聽( 有興趣的朋友請到YouTube，鍵入" Badfinger "即可找到 )。尼爾森的翻唱，卻賦予這首歌全新的生命，包括和音的部分，都是尼爾森自己在錄音室配唱完成，副歌的高潮起伏尤其動人心弦，也將這首歌翻唱成一首高難度的曲子。歌曲推出之後，在英、美兩地都登上排行榜冠軍，也為尼爾森在 1973 年的葛萊美獎典禮上贏得《最佳流行男歌手》的大獎。後來許多自認為唱將的藝人都視這首歌為展現實力的炫技曲，包括島內很受歡迎的 Air Supply 空中補給合唱團，也唱過這首歌。
　1994 年一月十五日，天后瑪麗亞凱莉翻唱的" Without you "在這一天推出單曲問世，巧合的是，尼爾森卻在同一天因為心臟衰竭悄悄告別了人世。幾個月後，瑪麗亞凱莉的版本在英國奪得冠軍，在美國最高名次則為季軍，為了紀念尼爾森，唱片公司又將他的演唱版本推出單曲以饗歌迷。
　至於這首歌的原作者 Peter Ham 和 Tom Evans，因為現實生活的諸多不順，兩人分別於 1975 年和 1983 年自殺，死因皆為上吊身亡。

D小調安魂彌撒曲,作品626號，簡稱《安魂曲》，是莫扎特最後一部作品，寫於1791年。在當年7月，一位不知名人士要求他創作《安魂曲》，且必須匿名。今日我們知道是瓦爾塞根伯爵，人們猜想或許他想讓他的朋友們猜作者的名字，又或許想將著作權據為己有。因疾病和貧窮而衰弱的莫扎特，還必須面對工作的重負，因為他在八月初收到一份關於為神聖羅馬帝國皇帝利奧波德二世的加冕創作歌劇的請求（狄托的仁慈K.621），而且必須於三周內寫完。三十五歲的莫扎特於十二月辭世，留下未完成的《安魂曲》（受其妻子康絲坦茲之託，後來這首曲子由他的學生完成，Franz Xavier Süssmayer而後又由Sigismund von Neukomm接手）。Neukomm的集成版只於1819年在里約熱內盧演奏，之後就被人們忘記了。第二次演奏於2006年3月10日在Liévin為紀念Courrières礦難而進行。
有個傳奇故事說莫扎特在《安魂曲》里見到了自己即將死去的先兆，這個傳說被用在福爾曼的電影《阿馬德烏斯》里，這其中浪漫的想象多過於事實。

　後來，艾瑞克萊普頓參與電影「Rush」（台灣並未公映）配樂的編寫，在他的堅持下，這首歌出現在電影中，並成為他有史以來最暢銷的單曲，曾在告示牌雜誌的百大單曲榜上連續四週高掛亞軍，售出數百萬張。兒子去世一年後，艾瑞克萊普頓應MTV頻道之邀，舉辦不插電演唱會，演唱了這首曲子，真情流露思子之心，感動了在場及電視機前的所有歌迷。因為這首歌，這場演唱會的實況錄音於一九九二年八月發行成專輯後，在告示牌專輯榜上留連了超過兩年，全球共售出一千萬張。

第一次聽這音樂是在電影“阿瑪迪斯”，是莫扎特作曲 "繼抒詠: III. Sequentia：5. 受判之徒 Confutatis maledictis (Choir)"的片段。





D小調安魂彌撒曲,作品626號，簡稱《安魂曲》，是莫扎特最後一部作品，寫於1791年。在當年7月，一位不知名人士要求他創作《安魂曲》，且必須匿名。今日我們知道是瓦爾塞根伯爵，人們猜想或許他想讓他的朋友們猜作者的名字，又或許想將著作權據為己有。因疾病和貧窮而衰弱的莫扎特，還必須面對工作的重負，因為他在八月初收到一份關於為神聖羅馬帝國皇帝利奧波德二世的加冕創作歌劇的請求（狄托的仁慈K.621），而且必須於三周內寫完。三十五歲的莫扎特於十二月辭世，留下未完成的《安魂曲》（受其妻子康絲坦茲之託，後來這首曲子由他的學生完成，Franz Xavier Süssmayer而後又由Sigismund von Neukomm接手）。Neukomm的集成版只於1819年在里約熱內盧演奏，之後就被人們忘記了。第二次演奏於2006年3月10日在Liévin為紀念Courrières礦難而進行。
